With the increasing number of cases of the H1N1 Flu being reported and predicted around the nation, we will be adding to our normal disease prevention procedures at Southside as follows:
As we take steps to provide a healthful environment for your children, we ask that you follow our Child Wellness Policy below.
Upon recommendation from the American Academy of Pediatrics, a child should be kept at home if he or she has any of the following symptoms:
Fever, vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose (accompanied by any other symptom), unexplained rash, sore throat, croup, skin infection (boils, ringworm, lice), any symptom of childhood disease (such as scarlet fever, measles, mumps, rubella, active chicken pox or whooping cough), conjunctivitis (pink eye), or other eye infection.
A child must be free of symptoms for at least 24 hours before coming to our care. If a child develops any symptoms of illness while in our care, the parent will be contacted to take the child home.

We have just moved into the area 6 weeks ago and have been visiting your church. My girls are in AWANA and we are looking into membership. I am an indoor air quality specialist. I have equipment that will sanitize all surfaces and toys with no chemicals through air purification – if you would like a consultation, I would be more than happy to go through your facility and help in this area! I would not be without one in my home and my children’s school have our units in every classroom to help with the spread of germs and with odor removal!
Please contact me if you would like to meet with me concerning this problem!

Gina,
I will pass your info off to Art, our Executive Pastor. It could be valuable information that we might need to look into.
Thanks for thinking of us.
