Getting your family through check-in on Sunday should be fairly simple and quick. But let us give you some tips to help your check-in experience be even better.
Memorize the last four digits of your phone number – many people freeze when they get to the screen as they have to say their whole phone number in their head to get the last four digits.
Choose the right kiosk – 280 of the 463 kids last Sunday were checked in through the two kiosks in the Preschool lobby while one of the kiosk on the east side only saw 40. There are 6 stations in different locations. Any child can be checked in at any kiosk. Click Check-in Online Registration locations for a map of locations
Arrive early – allowing yourself a little more time for the check-in process will reduce your stress since most people don’t arrive 15 minutes early.
Switch services – if you are attending the 10:00 service, you might want to consider switching to the 8:30 time where it is much less crowded. Less than 1/3 of our kids attend the 8:30 service.
We were not pleased with the check-in process this past Sunday, August 23. My husband brought our daughter Jordan down to the 1st grade room, checked her in right at 11:30, and were told there’s no more room for her. They were not late, and we had registered her for Fellowship Kids about six weeks ago. We also changed to the 11:30 service, thinking there would be more room for her.
Aside from arriving sooner than 11:30, what do you suggest we do to ensure that there is space in the room for our child? They told us they had enough staff, but that there just physically was not room to bring her in. I wasn’t aware that there were too many children at the 11:30 service.
I am so sorry that was your experience on Sunday. We are working to get it fixed and have added a second room for that area to keep it from happening again.
We do need more volunteers in each service in order to increase the number of kids we can service.
My husband Trey and I just started attending Southside three weeks ago. I’m pretty sure we’ve correctly registered our 1-yr. old, Elizabeth (8/3/08), but I can’t remember which service we said we’d be most likely to attend. I think we’d be happiest attending the 8:30 service. Can you let me know if that will work? Can you make sure that’s what is showing in your system?
Also – Since we’re still learning the ropes, we’re kind of interested in also attending a Sunday School class on Sunday Morning. However, we’re aware that the 10:00 service is slammed. Let us know if that will be a problem. We’re fine skipping that for now until we get more plugged in and can help serve in some way during that service time.
I checked your registration and you are ready to go for the 8:30 service. We would love to find a place for you to serve in Fellowship Kids!
If you decide to serve or attend an ABF class, you will need let us know so we can get Elizabeth registered for 2 services.
